Finding a good solution for the replastering of damp, contaminated walls is often difficult. Just think about the finishing of a wall affected by rising damp. After a Dryzone or Dryrod tretament the masonry dries at a very slow rate, and in most of the cases it contains high concentrations of hygroscopic salts that absorb moisture from the air en keep the walls damp. Coatings and plasters directly applied to the contaminated surface are not salt resistant and might cause condensation problems.The solution:
REPLA is the ideal solution. The REPLA system consists of a a thin (3mm) dimpled membrane, fixed to the wall with REPLA plugs. Seems are sealed with REPLA butyl tape.
On the front side of the membrane, the special mesh can be plastered onto, allowing a dry plaster finish to be achieved without the risk of contamination from any damp or salts in the wall.

REPLA can be used above or below ground, however, we recommend that our technical department is consulted before using the product below ground.
REPLA Plaster Membrane is especially useful in situations where a damp wall is contaminated by
salts or the residue of previous attempts to waterproof the wall (such as bitumen). Unlike
cementitious, epoxy, or bitumen coatings, REPLA can be applied directly to contaminated surfaces
with minimal preparation.
As an alternative to a plaster finish, plasterboard can be applied directly to REPLA. The plasterboard is fixed to the REPLA by applying dabs of bonding compound to the heads of the REPLA Plugs , which are used to fix the membrane to the wall.
